🎉 NEW FEATURE: Order Slicing

@Ishaque
Have you check the feasibility? Kite Zerodha have this feature already.

@Ishaque
Is there any plan to bring this change in application?

Hi @Ashishupstox,

This falls under the purview of algorithm trading and would require higher tech integration which isn’t feasible at the moment. However, it is an interesting proposition and we will surely think about adding the same to our product roadmap.

Thank you for update. Wish to see this update

Hello Team,
Could you please look into photo I have attached and address the feasibility to bring such interface on option price chart so that we can take quick limit order from option chart and also could quickly update the limit of placed order.
This will really help.
Because the available option for quick trade buttons on option chart will not execute the order at exact price at which we want to place a order. Due to some delay in order placement after we click on buy/sell button, it will place order at some undefined price gap.

This change is must require to get proper order and not undefined price order.

Hey @Ashishupstox,

Those are some good suggestions. However, we might have to check their feasibility before we plan to introduce them. Thanks again :slight_smile:

@Ishaque
Thanks for the reply.
While introducing this feature, it would be better to have button with ‘click and change’ between limit and market order and not a dropdow button.

Got it, @Ashishupstox. Will pass this on further. Thanks a lot.

Hello @Jay_Shah ,

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the price alert system for the web version. Our team is constantly working to enhance our features, and your input is valuable. We’ll certainly take this into consideration for future improvements. If you have any more suggestions or specific ideas, feel free to share. Happy trading!

Hello Team,
I have one concern.
When we execute the trade with help of quick trade buy sell buttons in option price chart, then lots of notifications of order comes on the screen which will cover the quick trade buy sell button and we are unable to click on these buttons for some time.
Single notification on screen is enough here.

Hi Team,
Will it be possible to resolve the issue mentioned in above comment ?

Hi team
Why I don’t see P&L alert in portfolio ?

Hey @Ashishupstox, we understand how important this is for you.

To know how to create P&L alerts, please follow these steps: login to the 4.0 app> click on the ‘Account’ tab at the bottom of the page > click on profile > click on my account > Select my alert and click on P&L alert. In addition, to know how to create P&L alert in the active position, please visit: How to create P&L alerts for active positions in trading? - Upstox Help Center

For more information on Price and P&L Alerts, refer to Price and P&L Alerts - Upstox Help Center

We hope this helps. Feel free to reach out to us in case of any other queries.

4.0 app is not available for Android on playstore

New application of upstox is not very clean.
If we want to close our gtt order before Target hits then it won’t allow us to do quickly and sometime it moves to open order and makes difficult to close it quickly.
Even the order is the limit Target order then also we shall close it from portfolio as a market order directly. We should not keep searching where it is went in pending or somewhere and then again modify and exit it.
It’s terrifying in option buying

When we execute some strategy order with multiple CE PE orders then to exit it quickly on hitting Target there should be some mechanism like exiting all orders at market based on total P&L value

Hi @Ashishupstox,

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. Regarding the first issue, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delay in closing GTT orders. We’re actively working to enhance the user experience and resolve this intermittent issue.

As for the second concern, we offer an ‘exit all’ option for positions in options trading, allowing you to exit all positions at market price swiftly. Additionally, you can cancel all non-executed regular orders with a single action.

We appreciate your feedback and understanding as we strive to improve our platform.

@vishalchawda

I think you did not understood my concern.

After my gtt order gets executed then it will go in open order waiting to hit Target or stoploss. In this case if we click on exit all order or tried to close this order from portfolio then it will get rejected. Even if we try to exit it by modifying it at market value from portfolio tab then also it will get rejected. In portfolio if then we try to reduce the target value then it will not allow to do so.

We need to go in open orders tab then there we need to modify executed order and there we need to close it.

This is a very irritating thing and takes much time to close gtt order.

There is need of great improvement here. Discuss it with product team.

Even the executed order is in open state and if use want to close it by modification, then it it should be allowed from portfolio tab also.

Dear Ashish,

We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns.

There are two possible approaches to managing triggered orders in the context of manual exits:

  1. Automatically Canceling Triggered Orders: This approach, which you seem to favor, involves automatically canceling open triggered orders when a manual exit occurs.
  2. Retaining Triggered Orders: Our current system follows this approach, where we keep the triggered orders active even after a manual exit. We believe this method better aligns with user expectations as it ensures that these orders remain in place to manage their positions or holdings after the trigger occurs.

We chose the second approach because it minimizes potential confusion and losses. Keeping the triggered orders active provides users with confidence that their orders will continue to handle their positions as planned.

Thank you for your input, and please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
