Unable to close upstox account due Ticket - 17251

Need to close this account online . However, there are stocks that can not be transferred online in CDSL. Hence, please send me DIS copy online and help me close this account.

Hello @Ushnota - the ticket has been closed but the account is still open and I see a negative balance of 472 something. Could you please help on this why? Thanks

@APURBA_43899232 - This is to inform you that since you are currently outside India, the account closure cannot be completed online from your system. You will need to use the offline Transfer-cum-Closure process to transfer your holdings to another demat account.

Duly filled and signed Account Closure Form

Client Master Report (CMR) from the broker where you intend to transfer your shares

Self-attested copy of your PAN card

Hello @Ushnota - I appreciate your response and understand the said process. I have gone through similar situation with another broker before (closure cum transfer ) and they assisted me with whole process totally online. What is stopping Upstox doing that?

All documents can be scanned and sent over. When upstox can open accounts digitally while not allow closing them digitally?
I am just trying to stay compliant with my residential status and laws that says not to keep resident account.

@APURBA_43899232 - You can share the closure cum transfer form from your registered email ID and we will initiate the closure for now.

However, please note, that the holding present in your account is of an inactive ISIN and transfer will be initiated only when the ISIN gets active.
