Simple … if you coat the bullshit with perfume and paint, its still bullshit.
The underlying product is flawed implementation, that has to be corrected first. I am not talking of scalper, the main web order engine. For ex GTT order with Trailing Sl loss takes huge time to set because the value of the trail step keeps jumping (linked to ltp??). I lost many order opportunities during momentum and finally quit Upstox.
They have products… good, but those products have been rushed through … without complete tesing in actual market conditions. That actually results in more brokerage generation!.. they are happy… !! But I have told in the channel earlier also UPSTOX lack software process and stardardization process and testing process (less said about documentation the better)… that results in a sub optimal, buggy product.
When I pointed out some issues in the webinar, they got defensive and were claiming that certain implementation is because other brokers too have implemented that way…so … if other brokers have rolled out bullshit… Upstox wants to provide more of it that rather than giving a refined gold. I gave up…telling anything..further.
I completely agree with this point. Most of the updates, can say almost all the updates which upstox comes with are rushed through without proper testing and checking robustness of the updates. And when they are implemented with the above norms, they are of course going to behave in erratic way and cause inconvenience. Major irony is that, the abnormalities are not noticed by the software testing team and it has been bring to their notice by us the users, and even after bringing it to notice, it remains unresolved for months and months.
I had posted this a month back, in this passed 1 month nothing has happened that does make me change my view. I had mentioned there are serious glitches in both app and web based portal, but sadly no one from development team has even bothered to address the query. And moreover, still the development team is busy in introducing new updates without proper due software testing, and along with that new glitches keeps on arising.
In month of March, the team had brought an update of data across all platform getting sync and getting store on cloud storage. With that update all my drawings, more than 500 scripts, all drawings had got vanished and development team was unaware of any such glitch. When I raised a query on it, they had promised me to get all my drawings back, and it has been more than 4 months now , forget about those previous drawings, the platform is not able to save recent drawing also since then. And since then I am in constant touch with development team, and I have been assured that team is working on troubleshooting it. Months on months are passing and still there is no solution to it, forget about syncing of data across all format and storing on cloud. I mean if the update was not robust and error proof, then why does such updates are introduced, and if they are introduced, then solving the glitch should be the first priority before introducing any new updates.
Last week , the new problem arises with alerts not getting triggered, and I have send many screen shot in reference to that. But sadly no one has acknowledge it and we have no clue about it, what is the problem with alerts. Same way there are problem in app , but the app team toh is not even bothered to look into it.
Hope 1 day will come, when we will be having a smooth, light glitch free interface to work with,
