Traders need instant, reliable help—not just blogs or delayed email responses. A dedicated Upstox Discord server would revolutionize user support by offering real-time tech assistance alongside market discussions. Imagine getting instant troubleshooting for login issues, order execution problems, or app glitches without waiting hours (or days) for email replies. Discord’s live chat allows support teams to share screenshots, guide users step-by-step, and even escalate urgent issues faster. Combine that with trading alerts, expert AMAs, and strategy talks, and you’ve got a community that’s actually built for traders’ needs. Tech support shouldn’t be a bottleneck—Upstox, let’s make it seamless. #UpstoxDiscord #BetterSupport #RealTimeTrading
Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. We’ve taken a note of it and we’ll definitely pass this feedback along.
Namaskara,
Efficacy of the system depends on personnel manning it.
Yes Discord is a wonderful platform…
However, if the person from UPSTOX who are supposed to reply to queries keep silent as stone… for eternity, Discord or for that any platform is useless.
We must first fix the silence then go to Discord… or else everything will be in be in “discord” state. !
True—no platform can work if the people behind it stay silent. Discord is powerful, but only if the team actually engages. Fixing the responsiveness should be priority #1.
That said, Discord could still help users support each other in a more structured way. But without official participation, it’s just a workaround, not a solution.
Hi @RathnadharKV,
Feedback taken. Rest assure, I’m here, listening, and actively working to ensure feedback like yours doesn’t get lost in the void. Having said that, is there anything specific I can help you out with right now? Let me know, thanks.
Thanks for your support! I appreciate you actively ensuring feedback is heard.
My concern is primarily around historical data extraction—it feels under-documented, especially regarding differences between Standard and Plus accounts. Additionally, the examples don’t clearly cover options contracts, and a more sequential, step-by-step retrieval process would be incredibly helpful. While the API and infrastructure are solid, reducing the learning curve for end-users would make a big difference. Could you clarify or point me to resources addressing these gaps?
For Plus users, could you clarify
- What is the maximum lookback period for historical data of expired options (both Index and Stock)?
- Is there a well-documented tutorial or step-by-step guide for retrieving expired options contracts via API?
Thanks again
Namaskara,
Whether its standard account or plus account…
The query response from UPSTOX in this community is -infinity.
That said. I suspect, based on the past experience,
Any query related to F&O, UPSTOX refuses to answer…even if the question requires just YES or NO as answer.
Or Gives a quixotic answer that has garbage value.
In past I had discussion with few algo providers. They told me that discount brokers charge money for API integration. That I could not verify.
But inferring from the response to queries, especially in F&O, it appears so. If UPSTOX refuses even to say YES or NO for their own chat bot response, then what better response can we expect for complex queries??

Hi @jtutanota,
Let me get back to you on this. Thanks for your patience.
Hi @RathnadharKV,
If you can specify your exact query regarding F&O, it’d be easier for us to answer you accordingly. Thanks.
