Wondering what is the brokerage fee going to be for using Upstox API - through third party software ?

I understand that API itself is free, however want to understand brokerage for orders placed using API.

I would like to break your questions into 2 segments and answer

  1. Yes, creation of API is free of charge
  2. Brokerage of API is also free but with T&C

T&C are as follows

  1. If you are placing order via the app you create to access API i.e via API Key and Secret with app marked as API trading - the free brokerage will be free till 31st Aug, 2024. Even if these orders are from third-party where you are entering your API Key and Secret voluntarily.
  2. If you are placing the order from a third party software where the third-party is using UpLink Business i.e you are getting auto logged in on the third-party platform via Upstox login system, standard charges apply

So my understanding is correct to assume that third algos like Algotest, Tradetron falls in 1st category.

  1. If you are placing order via the app you create to access API i.e via API Key and Secret with app marked as API trading - the free brokerage will be free till 31st Aug, 2024. Even if these orders are from third-party where you are entering your API Key and Secret voluntarily.

But i am getting chargedā€¦ My ledger shows -188 for being brokerage reversed of api trade placed on 04/07/2024 along with 160 rs brokerage for trades placed via algotest in contract note.
