We require api which allows us to track user account registration done through our application. We just require a confirmation api allowing us to keep a track on how many users registered on Upstox app using our application.

We currently do not have an API to track user registrations on Upstox API via third-party apps. Still, your request has been noted and forwarded to our concerned team for future consideration.

I think You already provide API Pick My Work same requirement If possible please connect.

  1. Add Web Socket stream for Position Updates and also add API to exit position directly like we are doing in App or Web portal.
  2. Add API to get Open Orders
  3. Add API to exit multiple orders at same time.

@Atharva9090 Currently, the Upstox API does not support IPO APIs. Our primary focus is on facilitating trading through the Upstox API. Nevertheless, I will pass on the information to the relevant team.

Hi team,
If I use the same instrument key throughout the day, will it be affected by any significant market movements? Or are the keys fixed for each option strike price until the current expiry?

@Rakesh_Kumar Yes, you are correct. The instrument keys for the option remain fixed until the current expiry. You can use them throughout the day. You can also verify the same in the instruments file, which is refreshed daily.

can someone here tell me how to exit an open position using api in upstox , for an option premium bought in nifty 50, i tried placing order using SL-M order, but i got error saying that SL-M order is not allowed for this script then i used Market order but then the issue is how to exit this order , coz only way i see is using a sell market order, but again there could not be any stop loss i can place or target, if somehow its possible to place a stop loss for my open position then i can trail it by modifying orders.

You can place SL-LIMIT order for the same. i.e. if you bought at 100 then you can place SL-limit order with trigger_price = 95 and price = 93. and then you can trail it by modifying trigger_price and price.

thank you very much for the response, can you also help me out with only piece of information, is there any rate limit when we are using websocket for fetching data on live feed after subscription

Once you subscribe, there is no rate limit for the messages you receive via the websocket. It is recommended that the subscription count be kept below 100 for optimal performance. Per access token 3 websocket connections are allowed.
