Can you please explain why Trailing gap in GTT order is dependent on LTP or CMP?
CMP is 60 and I want to sell at 100. with Stop loss at 105 with trailing gap 2. This is not allowing me to place order through API. It is saying Trailing gap can not be less than 4. Why such kind of restriction?
@Jagdish_j_ptl This is an additional validation, please refer and calculate trailing gap as mentioned in the API documentation.
Have you read my question properly? I have not ask you how much gap is required or how to calculate it. I have already read your documentation. I have asked why such useless or meaningless validation is added? Why trailing gap is dependent on LTP ? Why can’t it be a 10% of difference between stoploss and entry price?
As per your current restrictions user can’t place GTT order in advance, they need to wait until LTP and stoploss difference is as per their suitable trailing gap? If this is the purpose of GTT order then why you are giving GTT order expiry time till one year?
How long should I wait for reply a simple question? You are not fixing reported bugs but at least try to solve the doubts of your users.
