Today, equity indices showed a positive trend despite market volatility. The Sensex gained 226.85 points, settling at 76,759.81, while the Nifty50 rose by 86.40 points to close at 23,249.50. As benchmark indices continue their upward momentum for the third consecutive session, investors might look to make strategic trades across multiple stocks to capitalise on sector-wide movements.
Upstox Pro’s ‘Basket Orders’ feature makes executing these trades quick and efficient. With the market on the rise, investors often want to take positions across a range of stocks, index ETFs, or sectors that reflect the overall market trend. Rather than placing individual buy or sell orders, you can group your orders into a single basket and execute them all at once.
This feature lets you create a collection of ‘Buy’ and ‘Sell’ orders for multiple stocks, futures, or options, executing them all in one go. Instead of placing each order individually, you can streamline your trading with a single ‘Swipe to Place Order’.
Here’s how you can use Basket Orders efficiently:
Create a Basket: Head to the ‘Orders’ screen in Upstox Pro, navigate to the ‘Basket’ tab, and click on ‘Add Basket’. Name your basket (minimum 3 characters) for easy identification.
Add Multiple Orders: Select stocks, futures, or options, specify price, quantity, and order type, then click 'Add to Basket’. You can add up to 20 orders in a single basket.
Execute in One Go: After reviewing all the orders, simply ‘Swipe to Place Order’, sending them to the Exchange in the same sequence as arranged.
Modify & Manage Baskets:
- Edit: Adjust price, quantity, or order type for any order within the basket.
- Delete: Remove unwanted orders with a long press and a quick tap.
- Rearrange: Change order sequence before execution for better control.
- Clone: Duplicate orders within the basket for quick adjustments.
Smart Automation: If a stock gets delisted or an options contract expires, we automatically remove it from your basket, ensuring smooth execution.
With Basket Orders, you can efficiently manage multiple trades and execute complex strategies with ease, especially during volatile sessions such as today.
