I want to use upstox only for API data

Hi Team, I cannot open trading account with upstox due to my organizations restrictions. Preferred brokers are only kotak and hdfc.

Can i use API by paying charges and without opening trading account. I want to use these for backtesting as i cannot do trading again due to org restrictions.

To use the Upstox API, you must have a trading account with Upstox. API access is provided for free as of now and is linked to your client ID associated with your trading account.
