PiP (Picture-in-Picture) mode is a compact, floating window that allows you to monitor your positions and P&L while multitasking, whether you’re analysing charts, reading market news, or switching between tabs.

How does PiP mode help traders?

PiP mode keeps your open and closed positions, overall and daily P&L visible at all times, ensuring you never miss crucial market updates, even when you minimise your browser or switch tabs.

How can I enable PiP mode?

You can activate PiP mode through:

  • My Profile → Open PiP mode
  • PiP icon in the “Positions” tab

Can I move the PiP window around?

Yes, you can drag and place the PiP window anywhere on your screen for a clutter-free trading experience.

Will PiP mode work if my internet connection drops?

Yes, you’ll receive immediate visual feedback if your connection drops, so you’re always informed.

Does PiP mode update in real-time?

Yes, PiP mode is powered by a WebSocket connection, ensuring live updates of your P&L and position changes.

Is PiP mode available on mobile?

Currently, PiP mode is available only on Upstox Pro Web.

Can I place trades directly from the PiP window?

Not as of now, currently PiP mode is designed only for monitoring. However, you can click on ‘View Positions’ CTA on the PiP window which will take you to the main ‘Positions’ tab on the Upstox Pro app.
