Add feature to explicitly disable Margin Account

There is an old response to this topic in a partial manner.

What we are all suggesting is for you to add an explicit feature to disable margin account which requires again OTP to enable.
This is a safety option that MUST BE AVAILABLE IN THE ACCOUNT.

@HEMALATHA_53106443 - In case you wish to disable it, you can raise a ticket and we can manually do it for you.

I don’t see option to raise a ticket, I searching in your support pages. But there is no option to raise a ticket from the web interface - is there ?

Is there an option to put max percentage margin ? Like 10% of the current balance in the account or something like that ?

@HEMALATHA_53106443 - There’s no option to put any percentage. On Upstox, margin is dynamic and can be used as required, based on the user’s trading needs.

Please note that for regular users who are not trading in margin products like MTF, F&O or Commodities, there is no impact, interest or extra charge as long as they have sufficient cash for their investments or trades.
