RBL Bank shares tumble 14% on disappointing Q2 results
Shares of RBL Bank tumbled as much as 14% to ₹176.50 apiece on the BSE on Monday, October 21, after the private sector lender on Saturday reported a 24% decline in net profit for the September 2024 quarter (Q2 FY25) to ₹223 crore on asset quality challenges emanating from credit card and microlending books. The private sector lender had reported a post-tax net profit of ₹294 crore in the year-ago period and ₹372 crore in the preceding June quarter. Read more
Kotak Mahindra Bank shares slump nearly 7%; market valuation erodes by ₹24,801.79 crore
Shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank on Monday tanked nearly 7% after its September quarter earnings failed to cheer investors. The stock tumbled 6.63% to ₹1,743 apiece on the BSE after a weak beginning to the trade. On the NSE, it slumped 6.73% to ₹1,745.10 a share. The company’s market valuation eroded by ₹24,801.79 crore to ₹3,46,936.88 crore. The stock was the biggest laggard among the BSE Sensex firms during the morning trade. Read more
HDFC Bank shares rise over 3% as Q2 net profit jumps 5.3% to ₹16,821 crore
HDFC Bank share price: HDFC Bank shares rose more than 3% on Monday after India’s largest private lender posted a 5.28% increase in its latest September net profit, beating street expectations. In early trade, the stock jumped as high as ₹1,734,6 apiece, up 3.1%, on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). As of 9:56 am, the scrip was up 2.7% higher at ₹1,727.6 a unit. The market capitalisation of the bank stands at ₹13,18,293.26 crore. Read more
