TVS Motor Company’s shares spiked by up to 5.6% in early trade on Wednesday, August 7, a day after the two and three-wheeler manufacturer posted strong results for the quarter ended June 2024. The stock opened in the green at ₹2,535 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), up 2.2% as against the last closing price. Shares of Tata Power Company, the electricity distribution arm of the Tata group, declined during the first hour of trading on Wednesday, August 7. The stock was down around 1%, in the aftermath of the company posting a modest 4% year-on-year (YoY) growth in the net profit for the June 2024 quarter. The shares had opened in the positive territory, at ₹444 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), which was 1.6% higher than the previous session’s close. Shares of Suzlon Energy, one of the country’s leading renewable energy solutions providers, will remain in focus during the trading hours on Wednesday, August 7. The stock has drawn attention as Suzlon informed the exchanges on Tuesday, after the market hours, that it will acquire 76% stake worth ₹660 crore in Renom Energy Services Pvt Ltd.
