I would like to propose a change to the Upstox app. Currently, both the investor and trader interfaces are integrated into a single app, which can make it challenging to track both aspects simultaneously.
To improve user experience, I suggest creating two separate apps: Upstox for Investors and Upstox for Traders. This would allow users to easily switch between the two interfaces and access the relevant information they need.
@ravimule - Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! While we appreciate the feedback, itās important to note that moving away from Invest/Pro isnāt in our plans, as it remains a key part of our differentiation. For those who are traders and also want to explore investments like MFs, the Pro side of the app provides access to that; you donāt need to switch to Invest.
For historical context, three years ago, we introduced the new (4.0) app with a simplified user interface. We still maintained the old (3.0) app that was more trader friendly. So, at that time, we essentially had what you are suggesting. Based on user feedback, we evolved the new app into a combination of trading and investing app that you see today.
With this approach, longer-term investors - that may be less interested in logging in daily or getting into the complexity of individual position selection - can use the app without feeling intimidated. On the other side, traders - that require more sophisticated data, charts, and tools - will have everything they need in one location.
