If I have 5 accounts in Upstox. Do I need to have 5 static IPs for algo trading? As you mentioned One static IP can be used by one customer. Which means Algo provider needs to host their software to 1000 servers with 1000 static IP if they have 1000 users? So this will be completely loss making solution for ALGO provider. Because one algo provider registers multiple users on their single software which will have same static IP. Please correct me if I am wrong. As per my understanding SEBI wants to trace order placement through static IP irrespective of user account from which order is placed. Hence there is no need to put this restriction of one static IP for one customer.
Static IP has to be unique for all users as per the regulations.
If the 5 accounts are of immediate family, then IP address can be shared, else they canāt.
But if you think in terms of ALGO provider, how will this be implementable?
I am building software where multiple users will register their demat account. In this case I will have one AWS server from where my software will be hosted. So in this case I will have one static IP and multiple users. So if static IP can not be shared with users, there is no meaning to built this software and all the algo providers currently running will shut down their software?
Just get the platform empaneled and the Algos exchange approved. Vendor (Algo Providers/platforms) static IP can be shared
