Hi @Arvin720,

Please check these links:

In case you need more help, let us know. Thanks.

@Ushnota the links under the first link seems to show error 404. My question is a hassle i know but want to know the logic behind MWPL using real data instead of examples as want the same for my future analysis. It would be really helpful if you could explain with the helps of the data in the links shared by take any scrip which is in ban today and explain using real data that would be really helpful for me and others requiring the same information.

Hi @Arvin720,

So, Open Interest / MWPL × 100 = Utilisation % of that particular scrip, as per that day’s EOD. If this percentage crosses 95%, the stock may enter the F&O ban list.

For eg, this is as per yesterday’s EOD: Combined open interest across exchanges (.zip)

You can check the Open Interest in real time from here: https://www.nseindia.com/market-data/oi-spurts

This is how you can compare between yesterday’s OI and today’s, which will give you a good idea of whether the stock is approaching the F&O ban threshold. Hope that clears things, thanks.

How is MWPL calculated please explain using real life explanation take RBL Bank for instance @ushnota

any update on the query @Ushnota
